About US

In 2018 the robotics communities of Moorhead, Fargo, and West Fargo teamed up.  The goal was to find a space where they could work and share resource with one another.  A facility was found, and the robotics community came together.  The term STEM Alliance was used to describe the group.  With the assistance of the Greater Fargo-Moorhead Economic Development Corporation, we continued to form our Alliance.  It was soon realized that the STEM Alliance was becoming something very special.  Students from the Fargo Moorhead area were forming friendships rooted in their mutual interest in STEM.  The Alliance also provided the opportunity for older students to help mentor younger students in many different STEM related activities.

We decided in 2019 that we would pursue our own non-profit status to continue growing our impact.  On August 19th, 2019 our first board of directors were elected.  This group completed the steps to obtain 501(c)(3) status.  With this task complete, the board is now focused on the mission of the STEM Alliance.  Our mission is to provide unique opportunities to area students to participate in different STEM activities.

As the STEM Alliance continue to grow, we will be supporting as many STEM activities as possible.
