The STEM Alliance of Fargo-Moorhead is proud to support the incredible young innovators in our community who have qualified for the 2025 FIRST Championship! Multiple area teams have earned their place at this prestigious international event, where they will compete alongside the best and brightest from around the world in a celebration of science, technology, engineering, and teamwork.

However, getting to the championship comes with significant costs, including travel, lodging, and competition fees. We are seeking financial support from local businesses, organizations, and individuals to ensure that these talented students can represent our region on this global stage. Your contribution will help provide them with an unforgettable learning experience that will inspire future careers in STEM.

ABOUT FIRST CHAMPIONSHIP

 

The 2025 FIRST® Championship is a global robotics competition where students from elementary to high school showcase their engineering and teamwork skills. It features three main programs:

 

• FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) – Designed for younger students, FLL teams build and program LEGO robots to complete themed challenges while developing research and problem-solving skills.

 

• FIRST® Tech Challenge (FTC) – Middle and high school students design, build, and program mid-sized robots to compete in an alliance-based game, emphasizing engineering principles and teamwork.

 

• FIRST® Robotics Competition (FRC) – High school teams construct large-scale robots to compete in a complex game, requiring advanced mechanics, programming, and strategy.

 

The event includes competitions, workshops, and networking opportunities, fostering innovation, collaboration, and STEM education on a global scale. The 2025 Championship will take place from April 16-19 in Houston, Texas.
