5.       Committee status reports 

         Organization – Matt Craig (update via email) 

 

                  To complete the application I think we need these things: 

                   + Short list of qualifications for each Board member (or I can improvise a bit, don't think it is critical). 

                  + Financial information (mostly current balances). 

                    I think we put together a short grant application at the last meeting (which is the last thing I need). 

                   If we can get this stuff by Saturday we can hand the application off to the person Tim has lined up to review it. 

 

         Facilities – Brad Mackowick (Hannah) 

                  Committee planning to meet Tuesday Jan 14 

                  Couple options to look into - old menards, sturdevants? on main. 

 

         Fundraising – Jason Ryan 

                  i.   Met with GFMEDC - got latest financials 

                  ii.  Expense report form available on sharepoint.  Instructions too. 

                  iii. Suggestion to include Eric Krueger in the next committee meeting 

 

         PR - Hannah Reisdorf 

                  Committee trying to find a time to meet 

                  Might consider splitting outreach and marketing 

New website still getting stabilized 

 

6.       New Business 

         A. Motion that STEM Alliance will fund FRC field elements - not to exceed 500.  seconded and approved. 

         B. Laptops - teams should try to enforce keeping STEM Alliance laptops in the programming room - for tracking, updates, etc. 

                  i. Also will follow up with John Deere on potential laptop donations 

         C. Company / school contacts 

              Concordia - Tim might know someone 

             MSUM –Matt Craig 

             Minnesota State Community and Technical College – Hannah might know someone 

             NDSU – Scott Pryor 

             UND – Gwen Klawon 

             Appareo – Sam in touch with someone 

             CASE IH – Sam is working with someone 

             Microsoft –Aaron might know someone 

             Bobcat –Jason might know someone 

             Fargo Public Schools – Denise Jonas 

             Butler - Hannah has been in touch with someone 

  

         D. Elevator 

             Put an out of order sign on it - tonight yet 

             Someone is going to get a bill for the service tech - may need some additional followup 

             Brian will let Monte know that there was an issue.
